Lynn Blades BA, ACC
Interior Designer/Lifestyle Expert
I took an unorthodox road to establishing myself as an Interior Designer. It is my journey that makes me a credible unique designer. I spent 10 years as Lifestyle consultant and Life Coach with a prominent GPs practice in Wimpole Street. There I gained a wealth of experience and an intuitive understanding of what individuals need to help them find success, happiness and satisfaction. My consulting work reinforced my thoughts about the impact of one’s environment on their ultimate happiness.
Seven years ago, a client was going through a difficult divorce, he turned to me for help finding and establishing a new home. I took on the challenge. It was a move that changed both of our lives. My client loved his new home and I unearthed my passion for design. I studied and qualified as an interior designer at the prestigious KLC School of Design I never looked back. I am proficient in all aspects if interior design including technical drawing, 3D visualisation (SketchUp & basic Vectorworks), kitchen and lighting design.
A graduate of the prestigious Ivy League University Dartmouth College,I went on to a career as an award winning TV journalist. I received television’s top honour, an Emmy for my hard news coverage as well as the coveted National Press Club Award and Peter Lisagor Award for Investigative Journalism. As a journalist and presenter I spent over a decade interviewing and working with a wide spectrum of people from Presidents to movie stars to the everyman, covering world news to red carpet stories for CNN, CBS, CNBC and E! Entertainment Television.
Here in the UK I have made many appearances as a Life Coach on GMTV, a Hollywood expert on the BBC and style hunter on Granada televisions Antique Hunt. I am passionate about coaching teenagers and young adults in life skills, self esteem and confidence. I also hold media coaching workshops at the Roundhouse in Camden and the Media Trust for aspiring young journalist. I am also a Life Coach for the ground breaking Eyes Wide Opened.
I have been blessed with a natural ability to understand and nurture individual needs and experiences. What I’ve come to realise is what most people seek in their lives is confidence, happiness and balance. I help my clients create a better space and path in life.
Barbara Ann Spencer, BSc Arch Dip Arch

"I am committed to working towards sustainable, environmentally friendly construction materials and methods, as well as alternative energy sources for heating and hot water systems wherever possible. I specialise in light filled indoor/outdoor connections and covered patio spaces."
Barbara Ann and I have worked together on some fantastic projects. I think she’s uniquely qualified to work with our clients as she has a wide scope of work that reflects her worldly knowledge of Architecture as well as the technical prowess she earned with her degree from Southern California Institute of Architecture in Los Angeles. Before starting her own practice. Barbara Ann’s Los Angeles projects consisted of domestic work, two restaurant interiors and the Rhino record/cd store. She also spent 8 years working as a Set Designer for feature films and commercials in Hollywood including Stargate and Ocean’s 11. This work helped her perfect hand drawn perspective sketches and 3D visualisations on the computer.
Barbara Ann’s British projects include a penthouse flat in Central London with roof garden; domestic extensions in Suffolk in both modernist and traditional styles, (many are on listed buildings), barn conversions, and 5 dynamic new eco buildings for Snetterton Park in Norfolk, including the world’s largest Model and Toy Expo. Her Current projects include a pool house and a Village Hall restoration. She is thoroughly familiar with current planning policy, building regulations as well as the forms, drawings and consultants required to achieve a successful outcome upon application for planning permission, listed building consent and building regulations.
