Tweendom
The Brief
The client wanted to convert their small loft space into an ensuite bedroom to be used either as a master or as a shared room for their tween aged daughters. The challenge was that the space was in a conservation area where no dormers were allowed at the front of the house and putting an en suite in was going to be nearly impossible. My architect and I, studied the space carefully and recommended the space be used for the girls to sleep and bathe in and the room directly below be used as their study and entertainment space. It could also double as a spare room when guest come for a stay. It was no easy task to complete but we managed to create a lovely, cozy, functional space that works perfectly for growing girls who want a bit of privacy.
